Yam - Apple Bake

Ingredients:
3 Yams- - medium sized 3 Apples - peeled and sliced thin 1/2 Cup Butter 1 Cup Sugar 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch 1 Teaspoon Salt 2 Cups Water 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

Directions:
Boil Yams for 20 minutes and let cool. Peel and slice into thin rounds. In a buttered 8x8 inch casserole dish, alternate layers of yams and apples, ending with yams.
Melt butter in a saucepan and add sugar, cornstarch, and salt and mix. Add water and cook on medium heat until it thickens. Add lemon juice. Pour over yams and apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
